What ZolAi is, and why Arabic-first customer support matters in the Gulf and Egypt

ZolAi is an AI support agent for business websites. It answers visitors in their own Arabic dialect, from your own content, and hands the chat to your team when a person is needed.

Most of the questions customers ask on a business website are the same few, asked again and again: how long delivery takes, whether a size can be exchanged, what a service costs, when the team is available. In the Gulf and in Egypt, those questions usually arrive in Arabic, and very often in a dialect rather than textbook Arabic. ZolAi was built for exactly that moment: a visitor types a question on your site and gets a clear, correct answer right away, in the way they actually speak.

What ZolAi is

ZolAi is an AI support agent that lives on your website as a small chat window. You give it your content, such as your website pages, PDF and Word files, and questions and answers you write yourself, and it answers your visitors from that content around the clock. When a customer needs a person, the conversation moves to your team's inbox, and they pick it up from where the agent left off.

It is made for stores and businesses across the Gulf and Egypt: online shops, clinics, training centers, real-estate offices, and any business whose customers ask questions before they buy or book.

Why Arabic-first matters

In many general-purpose chat tools, Arabic is one language on a long list. The interface is translated, right-to-left layout is patched in later, and everything is tuned for English first. The result is familiar to anyone who has tried them: a stiff, formal reply to a question asked in Egyptian slang, or an answer in English to a customer who wrote in Arabic.

ZolAi takes the opposite approach. It was built for Arabic from day one, not translated as an afterthought. In practice, that means:

  • It understands the dialects your customers use. Egyptian and Gulf Arabic are both understood, and the agent replies in the same dialect the customer wrote in.

  • It switches to English when the visitor does. Many customers in the region move between Arabic and English, and the agent follows them.

  • The chat window is built for right-to-left. Arabic reads naturally, and the layout follows the reading direction.

  • Voice typing understands dialects. A visitor can tap the microphone and speak; their words are written down as they said them, in their own dialect, ready to edit and send.

What a conversation looks like

Picture a visitor on an online store asking, in Egyptian Arabic, how long shipping to Alexandria takes. Another visitor asks the same thing in Gulf Arabic about Riyadh, and a third asks in English about Dubai. Each gets an answer in their own language, and all three answers come from the same place: the store's own shipping page.

That last part matters as much as the dialect. The agent does not guess. Every reply is built on your content and names its source, and when the answer is not there, it says so plainly instead of making something up.

A reply that sounds natural but is wrong is worse than no reply at all. That is why ZolAi pairs natural Arabic with answers that come only from what you have given it.

More than answering questions

Answering is the first job, but not the only one. ZolAi is built around three:

  1. Answering visitors instantly, at any hour, even when your team is off.

  2. Capturing leads: when a visitor is interested, the agent asks for a name and a phone number or email at the right moment, then sends the lead to your email or to your own system by webhook.

  3. Handing over to people: when a customer asks for a person, complains, or needs something your content cannot answer, the chat moves to your team's live inbox.

Around those three sit the details that make an agent ready for real customers: a reply language you choose (Arabic, English, or whatever the visitor writes in), a formal or friendly tone plus instructions you write yourself, a welcome message with up to four suggested questions, and a chat window in your site's colors.

Who it is for

ZolAi is aimed at small and medium businesses in the region that get the same questions every day and want them answered well, without hiring a bigger team or writing code. A few examples:

  • An online store answering questions about sizes, colors, delivery and returns.

  • A clinic explaining its services, prices and accepted insurance, and offering to book an appointment.

  • A training center describing its courses, how they are delivered, and the certificates they lead to.

  • A real-estate office presenting available units and collecting contact details for an adviser to follow up.

Getting started

Setting up takes four steps: add your content; give your agent a name, a tone and your colors; paste one line of code into your site; and watch the first conversations come in. You see the agent in a live preview before it goes out, and you can try everything free for 14 days, without a credit card.

In the next articles we look at each part more closely: how grounded answers work, how leads reach you, how handoff and the Inbox work, and how to install the widget and show product cards.
